Cheers Steve, I'll try to get down one evening, but unfortunately NEWSAR meets every week on a Wednesday too. I can't do the 6th as I am leading an exercise in cliff rescue. I'll try to make the 13th.

Hi Gerald, I think you need to get down to Mold and District Amateur Radio Club at Mold Rugby Club on a Wednesday night and introduce your self. We meet at 8pm.

On Wed 6th April we have an Advanced exam at 7pm so it will hopefully be time for some celebrating from some of our members. Afterwards you would have the chance to meet our instructor Keith GW4OKT and find out when he is planning the next Intermediate Course.

Hi Steve, just licensed as one of those dreaded newbie M6's....
I am planning SOTA activations and should be getting an FT-817 in the next few days. In the meantime I have an VX-8E just on the rubber duck.
I'm getting a dipole for 2m from SOTAbeams and would like to build one of these linked dipoles for HF SSB working. I live in Mold, just round the corner from you.
My background is as a keen mountaineer coming fairly late (40's) to Amateur Radio. I have a fair bit to do with the radios for the local Mountain Rescue Team (NEWSAR) and want to improve my understanding. Planning to go straight to Intermediate if I can find a course. Did A Level Maths and Electronics a looooong time ago.
