We have accumulated a small box of old batteries in order to dispose of them responsibly but when I contacted the council I was told there was no facility for recycling them.<br /><br />The trouble with this country is the government has all these ideas about what we should do but they don&#39;t want to pay for them. We pay vast amounts of council tax but most of it goes on huge salaries for council executives instead of services to the public.<br /><br />If they want people to recycle they should provide free recycling facilities. If they want people to use cars less they should make public transport cheaper. And so on.
